At East Winthrop Baptist Church we believe in investing time and energy in maturing our faith through developing a relationship with Christ by prayer and study of His word, and through involvement in ministry. We are excited to be able to offer many opportunities for growth. Please feel free to join with us in worship and study as we grow together.

OUR CHURCH
At East Winthrop Baptist Church, we are a family. We worship and study together, we welcome everyone from all walks of life and all ages. Children are welcome in Sunday School and are welcome to remain with their parents during the service. We care for each other as we do for our birth families, and we welcome you to join our family.
OUR PASTOR
Samuel Richards has been in pastoral ministry since 1976. He is currently the President of the Greater Augusta Pastors’ Society, an association of evangelical churches, which cooperate in jail ministry, worship and accountability for ministers. He also teaches Shakespeare to homeschoolers (Southern Maine Association of Shakespearean Homeschoolers). He and his wife, Lynne, were married in 1975 and have six children.
